Happy birthday to my hubby, 31 years old today. Dozer was his birthday gift. Today I was able to sleep in till 7am! After calming him down outside he did his morning bathroom stuff and then off to cuddle with dad while the other dogs went outside. After his morning cuddle with dad it was out in the living room with mom, but we had to do a quick potty break again first. He is getting very good at letting us know he has to go. Then it was back to dad for some more napping. This seems to be our favorite thing to do, and that is fine with us! Mommy and Daddy are going to go out to celebrate Bryan’s birthday so Dozer will be spending some time in his kennel today. We left at 11:30am and were home at about 7:10pm. So 7 ½ hours in the kennel is getting him ready for when we go back to work next week. Took Bryan out for a nice lunch with a friend of ours. It was a nice break from house work and from puppy day care. Don’t get me wrong I love Dozer very much, but I needed a break. It is like having a baby in the house.
After a bit of a late dinner we all took an hour nap. Mommy had a migraine starting so she was very happy with the rest. At 8:30pm Portia an Dozer played for a little bit. When Dozer pulled his rope toy out of his bed Portia took it away from him and tossed it to the other side of the room to make him play with her. It was too darn funny! I lobe how even when I am in a lot of pain they can make me laugh. Portia always seems to know when I do not feel well and she makes a point to make me laugh. Believe me if you want, but I feel that she knows these things about us. When I cry or my head hurts really bad she will be the biggest goofball she can be and when I start to laugh she gets all happy and wags her tail at me. I am one proud mama! Well 10 pm and it is off to bed. We had 2 friends come over tonight, they were new people for Dozer. We want him to meet new people all the time to get used to it. I want a people person dog, Gizmo wasn’t that way till he was about 5 years old. Portia also got used to it over the years.
Only about 5 minutes of crying tonight, this is getting better and better. Well 11pm and it is my bed time. Getting ready for our Bowie trip tomorrow and leaving at like 6:30am on Friday for our 3 days of fun in the sun and sand. Night ya’all!
