About Dozer

Well one night when I finished a toy for a friend's daughter's birthday I posted a picture of the stuffed animals on Facebook.  Another friend asked me where his was, but he wanted a sock monkey done in Packers colors, I can do that no problem.  I even had the colors at home; it only took me about a week to get it done.  He said to come over and see his house and see the puppies, the puppies were just a few days old.  When Bryan and I laid eyes on the puppies, it was love at first sight!  We picked out the only female puppy, we named her Laila Ali.  Yes I know - female Boxer - female boxer.  well they started with 10 puppies and they just kept losing them, so we named her Laila hoping since it was a strong name of a fighter it would help out little girl survive.  Every time we would go over to see the puppies (about 4 times a week) The biggest puppy who we all named Dozer, would come crawling for me, even before his eyes were open.  I told Bryan that I wished we could have both of them.  Well one Thursday after noon we got the bad news, Laila had passed away.  That was a sad day.  I miss that little girl, she was gonna be so very pretty, but Dozer what the biggest one in the littler, that was only 3 pups now: Dozer, Tyson and Carebear.  Carebear was the first born and had a heart on his chest.  I wish we could have taken him too now looking back to how things turned out.  Dozer came home with us right at eight weeks; he was a cute little thing and 10lbs.  The first video of him I was able to get was about 5 minutes after we got him home and he fell off the couch, oh so funny.  We did all of his puppy shots at home, and are planning on having him fixed in November.  We took him to the Drag strip to get used to all the loud cars on probable the worst night to ease him into it.  The Jet Car Nationals!  Oops, but he did just fine.  He really didn't care much for the Jet Cars, so we just picked him up when they ran and kept him far away from the start line.  At the end of October we are going to the drag strip again to spend the night for the King of the Track race. We want to get him used to being in the trailer while we are still close to home.  So come next year when we go to Bowie he will already be used to the trailer, and next year when we race with Chris at the drag strip he will be used to all the cars going by.
