Wow, we have had Dozer for 1 month now. It doesn’t see like it has been that long yet, but at the same time I really cannot think about what it would be like without him there. Portia is so happy now and Gizmo, well Gizmo is still a grump. Dozer is really turning out to be a wonderful pup. He still has some things to work on. He doesn’t always come to Bryan and I when we call him over. He doesn’t always sit when we tell him too. He listens to me better then he listens to Bryan but I spend more time with Dozer. He always breaks my heart every morning before I put him in the kennel, he knows that is where he is going and he pouts and tries to look all cute. But for the sake of my house and to keep him safe, in the kennel he goes. It was very warm again today; it was not as cool for our walk as it has been. Tomorrow is gonna be even hotter, so I might have to wait a bit for our walk. I feel bad for Bryan having to work outside all day. Dozer has made his own freeway behind the couch to sneak up on Portia, it is very funny to watch him come up with new plans. He is so freaking smart, you can see him come up with an idea and try to work it out. Like a little kid playing. Laugh at me if you want to, but unless you are a pet owner and they are a member of the family not just a dog, you will never understand. They are my kids, until Bryan and I can get through the adoption process, they are the closest thing to children I am going to have. Well off to bed at 9:30pm tonight, Mommy and Daddy are very tired Dozer, sleep well my baby boy!
Dozer is our new puppy - his DOB is 6-28-2010. After we got the little guy home I decided to write a diary about his antics. I then thought - I wonder if this would make a cool Blog, and here we are. Enjoy reading all about Dozer, Porta, Gizmo Bryan and I as we all grow together as a family. I do have a habit of referring to Bryan and Myself as Mom and Dad in my writings, our pets are our children. If you would like to Contact me - please Email me at: DozerDays@hotmail.com

• Day 28 – 09-27-10 Monday – 13 weeks old
He was very happy to see Bryan at 5am, he gave him a bunch of kisses after being helped up onto the bed. Its Monday again so its off to work we go, he gets so sad when I walk him down the hallway towards his room. He breaks my heart pouting at me as I put him in his kennel. He is getting a lot better about going in there and not barking though. After a very – VERY long day at work it was nice to come home and walk a very happy dog to the mail box. He did a wonderful job today. It was also a lot cooler that it has been this afternoon. I had started to work on the bed room on Sunday so Bryan helped me pull down a shelf in out master bed room – all hulk style and just ripped it off the wall. Well after using the vacuuming the floor to get up the splinters it was time to go to bed.

• Day 26 and 27 – 09-25-2010 Saturday and 09-26-2010 Sunday
Got up at 7am on Saturday so I could go into town with my parents, Mom and I got our nails done then hit Fry’s. We go out together every other Saturday. My dad came along with us this time and that was nice. This was after being woken up at 3am cause Bryan just came in from working on the car. He didn’t relies it was that late. Had to go do dinner at my parents’ house with my grandmother and my great grandmother there, it was for our Anniversary, then had to go to Ryan’s birthday party.
We should have just stayed home from that party. We were treated very strangely and after we left as to not continue to get upset and say too much Kevyn couldn’t keep her mouth shut and sent me a really nasty mean TXT. Oh well, guess we will see how that all works out. Sunday we were lazy in the morning, then got up at around 11am to get motivated. I did a bunch of cooking for the week and Bryan went out to work on the car with Chris. I also took it upon myself to clean out the closet in our bed room so we can move everything around in our room. Well, almost time for bed, I hope this week is better than the last.• Day 26 – 09-24-2010 Friday
Dozer has learned to jump on the bed, he still doesn’t like to jump off the bed all the time. Jumping up on the bed is a two part move, he jumps up and puts his paws on the top of the bed and then pulls his feet up on the wood that runs down the sides of the bed to push himself up. We found this out when he woke Bryan up at 5am after I let him back in from going potty. I am so happy it is Friday, it has been a long week. Chris brought out his car to our house so the two of them can work on it, it needs some body work and needs to be primed before the next race in October. When the guys fired it up I made sure Dozer was right there to get used to the sound and smells of a race car. We will hopefully be able to take him to the drag strip with us. We will get Dozer used to it then take Portia with us. Gizmo would not have fun there other then trying to get rides from everyone. Well it is 11:30pm, time for me to go to bed.

• Day 25 – 09-23-2010 Thursday – 16lbs
He has put on 2lbs since Monday, he is getting to be such a big boy. I kinda wish he would just stay little. I love being able to fit him in my lap. But I don’t think any boxer has ever been that small. I just try to cuddle him as much as I can for now. Why does 5am always get here so fast, it seems like I never sleep anymore. Dozer has been quiet in the mornings before I let him out, he is becoming such a good boy. I have been trying to stay with my diet plan, it has been very hard. I went out to Jimmy Johns for lunch and had them cut my 17 point sandwich in half so I could eat half for lunch and the other half for dinner. I am gonna lose weight and Dozer is gonna put it on, LOL. Dozer was being a pill when I took him for his walk but quickly got over it for the walk back to the house, I don’t understand that little boy sometimes. Bryan got home a little later than normal because he stopped by Chris’s house to check on Chris’s mustang. I guess tey are going to bring it to our house tomorrow so they can work on it over the weekend. Dozer was very happy to see Bryan when he got home, and that made Bryan very happy. He has stopped barking at Bryan so much , we have been working on that with him. Also have been trying to make sure Bryan spends more time with Dozer. They get to cuddle every morning, and Dozer will lay just with him sometimes. Well off to bed we go- it is 9:30pm and its nighty-nighty time for Dozer. I was up 3 times during the night and there was not a peep out of him.

| Yes - Got the Boxer head tilt! |
I heard Dozer up at 5am when I walked to that end of the house, he wasn’t barking or crying but I heard him moving around. He took a little longer to calm down after going outside so we could snuggle till 5:50am. I like to get some cuddle time in with him till we have to go to work. We had the mustang on the trailer so Bryan could take it by Ford in the morning for the customer, so it took a little while to get through traffic. People get stupid around you when you are towing something, and we have towed a lot so we know. They like to sit there right next to the trailer and pace you, drive us crazy. Well, enough of me complaining about traffic, I got to work just on time this morning. I am still trying to stick to my 100 day weight-loss plan – I am on day 3. I am at 195lbs and would like to get down to 150lbs. I am also starting to count the weight-watcher points to try to keep my food intake of bad food down. At 4pm we left to go to Bryan’s work and I had to sit there till 5pm for Bryan to get off work. When we got home I found that Dozer had destroyed his little dog bed, so in the trash it went. He also had to get a little bath because he also peed on the little dog bed. Cleaned out the kennel and Dozer then made dinner. Bryan came in so we could play with Dozer before it was bed time, we took a bunch of pictures of Dozer, Portia and Gizmo. He was in his kennel by 9:30pm and was not happy about it, and boy oh boy did he let me know about it. It will one day get much better and he will just grow to love the kennel like Portia does.

• Day 23 – 09-21-10 Tuesday – Our Anniversary 7 years married – 12 total
Up at 5am and still not a peep out of the little boy. He must be getting used to his kennel, YAY! Bryan and I have been married for 7 years today , but a total of 12 years as of today. We didn’t take the day off or plan anything for today, we will have to do something this weekend. After a long day at work it was nice to get home to a light rain. Bryan got home with a mustang on a car trailer, he was going to try to play it off like a gift. (I know better.) He has to take it by Ford in the morning to get the computer flashed for a customer. Dozer did ok on his walk, it was nice and cool tanks to the rain. He still does much better on the way back then on the way up to the mail box. He ate almost all of his dinner, and if you cpunt his breakfast he is eating about that they told me he should be. He is not looking “ribby” anymore and has put on some weight lately. When we brought him home he was a little skinny. Bryan came in early so we could watch some TV together and then put Dozer to bed at 9:15pm. He only cried a little bit.
