• Day 46 – 10-15-2010 Friday

It was a very nice cool morning, Dozer wanted to stay outside, and I didn’t blame him.  By the time I got off work and was on my way to Bryan’s work the rain had started to come down in buckets.  And it had cooled off quite a bit.  By the time we got home it has stopped raining so I still took Dozer for a walk.  It was very cool out so we made it a quick one.  We watched some TV and then played with almost all of his toys.  He is such a good boy.  I did bust him watching TV – yes I took a picture, it was the cutest thing!  We watched some TV then Bryan came in from the shop and it was Play time all over again.  Finally got to bed at about midnight, not too bad for a Friday night!

• Day 45 – 10-14-2010 Thursday

I have been maintaining at 15lbs lost, it seems like it is every other week.  One week I lose about 2lbs the next week I maintain it.  And that is fine, once I have lost all the weight; it is all about maintaining it.  Dozer on the other hand just keeps getting bigger and heavier, and that is a good thing for him.  He is my growing boy!  I want him to be small for a long time so I can keep him small and cuddly, but I also cannot wait to see him all grown up.  My dad said they will watch the other two dogs for us at the end of the month so we can go racing.  It should be a lot of fun.  We have a chance of rain for the next few days – it might rain all weekend, and that would be fine with me.  I have some house work to do, it would be nice to be able to open some windows and let the smell of rain in the house.  For those of you who don’t live here you probably think I am crazy, but when it rains in the desert, it smells so wonderful!  Dozer and I walked to the mailbox when I go home from work, he loves his walks now.  I am thinking I might try to make them a little longer, but it will start getting dark earlier and earlier, so I might need to put that off till the weekends.  If I got up at 5am and could stay awake that would be a good time to go for our longer walk, but it is also getting too dark then.  Chris came over again so they could work on the car, Dozer loves playing with Uncle Chris.  He gets all excited when he sees his car pull up.  It has been nice and cool at night, that helps me sleep a lot better, and the dogs like to snuggle when it is cooler.  I need to get another space heater for out bed room for the winter, our house heater is still not fixed yet, it was not that bad last winter, we are trying to find someone who will be able to fix the heat exchanger.  It is just a bunch of pipes so maybe we could just have someone bend some new ones and fix it for us.  We shall see.  Well its about that time again, time for bed – Night!

• Day 44 – 10-13-2010 Wednesday

Oh boy – you would think 5am would get easier at some point, but it never does.   It seems like I get less and less sleep each night.  And it is not even Dozer’s fault; I slept like this long before he came home with us.  Part of it is my allergies, they are really a bad right now.  At the end of the month they will be having he “King of the Track” race at SIR.  Friday night is test and Tune then Saturday is a day race.  We are thinking about taking out the toy hauler and spending the night Friday night.  I think it would be fun, plus we could have Dozer out there and start getting him used to staying out there for the races next year.  We will be racing with Chris again next year.  I think Bryan is hoping to have the ’89 Mustang done so he can race it.  Chris’s car and Bryan’s car should be painted by then I hope.  Not sure if it will have a motor back in it by then or not.  We will just have to see and play it by ear.  When we got home Dozer was really happy to see us, took him for his walk and he set a really nice fast pace to follow.  I like my little walking buddy, which is another thing I can’t wait for: talking him walking around SIR.  Made a very yummy dinner, I had Lime Chicken and Bryan had Kielbasas and Rice.  It was Turkey Kielbasa so it was good for him and he seemed to like it.  I would like to have him around for a while, so I am trying to get him to eat healthy.  His Brother had a heart attack at 31 and Bryan just turned 31.  He is in a lot better shape than his brother was, and still is.  Well off to bed we go, Dozer did a much better job tonight then last night and only got up once to go out and get some water.

• Day 43 – 10-12-2010 Tuesday – 22lbs

Dozer had not been able to get Bryan to understand that when he jumps off the bed and follows Bryan down the hallway – he has to go outside right then.  You can’t make him wait till you are done taking 5 minutes in the bathroom.  He will have an accident; thank goodness it is in the laundry room on the tile so I can clean it up really quick, but still.  Bryan doesn’t have the patience for a puppy sometimes.  You have to be able to out think the pup and know his next move.  And I will admit, with Dozer that is not always easy because he is so damn smart.  After a long day at work, I got home a little early to take Dozer for his walk.  He is getting much better at sitting so I can but the leash and harness on him.  He seems to like our walks now; I think going to the drag strip and walking around there helped.  I got on the scale with him tonight – 22lbs!  my little boy is getting so big, he is almost 4 months old and one over 20lbs.  he would not settle when it came time to go to bed, kept getting off the bed to get water, then go out, oh boy was I getting frustrated.  But as soon as I tuned all the lights off and out TV off in the bed room, he settle right down.  So Maybe it was the TV keeping him up.  I will have to see what tomorrow night is like to be able to tell.  Well it is VERY late by now, night everyone.

• Day 42 – 10-11-2010 Monday – 15 weeks old

Oh Monday - Yep it's Monday, I checked. Back to Reality!  I have a dental cleaning today – oh joy.  I lost another pound over the weekend, which makes 15 down!  Dozer is being such a good boy, he sleeps almost all night, sometimes we need to go out.  He had help this morning further destroying the toy Bryan and I got for him.  Man, when he start losing those puppy teeth heaven help my furniture!  I just hope we can keep him stocked with other things to chew on.  I got home a little earlier than normal and took Dozer for his walk.  After that we stopped by our neighbor John’s house to see John and Kenny.  Kenny had a ball that Dozer was playing with, he had all three of us in stitches.  It was time for Kenny to go home and have his dinner so Dozer and I went home to wait for dad.  Bryan came home and Dozer wanted to go outside to greet him, so that’s what we did.  Chris came over to work on his car a bit more, the boys primed it yesterday and needed someone to write out block letters on the bumper so they know how to shut power off to the car.  So I did the letters, they looked a bit cartoonish, but after they were painted and the tape was pulled off – they fit the car!  We didn’t get to bed till about 11pm, it is gonna be fun tomorrow morning getting up.

• Day 40 and 41– 10-9-2010 Saturday and 10-10-2010 Sunday

Woke up early on Saturday so we could meet my mom and dad to have breakfast, Bryan was going to work the gun show with my dad but they didn’t need him.  Mom and I were goind to do some shopping and then get our nails done, go to Fry’s and then head home.  We go home at about 3pm, it was a very long day so far.  I took Dozer out and then put away all of the food, I am getting very excited about my weight loss so I got a bunch of healthy food again.  I sat down and made snack packs with the weight watcher points on the bags so I don’t have to try to guess.  At about 8pm we decided to go to the jet car racees, and Dozer was being such a good boy that we took him with us.  It was his first trip to the drag strip, we want him to get used to it so he can go with us all the time.  He did so good!  He didn’t like the jet cars, they were too loud.  But the other cars he could car less about.  He mad lots of new friends and got lots and lots of pets from every one there.  I think Dozer was a bigger hit then all the other cars there.  He even had his picture taken.  What a little rock star dog I have!  I need to get like a leash or something to advertise his blog when we take him out…I think he would get a lot more followers that way.  We got home at about 11pm and Dozer was asleep before we even made it out of the parking lot.  He went right back to sleep and didn’t get up till about 8:30am Sunday – woohoo mom was able to sleep in!  Sunday was a very laid back day.  We vacuumed and steam cleaned, then did some dished and some cooking.  We had to run to ace so we bought them a new toy, he had part of it off by bed time, man those puppy teeth can work magic!  Better toys then the furniture.  Well, back to work tomorrow, night Baby Dozer!

• Day 39 – 10-8-2010 Friday

Dozer gets his last puppy shot today, YAY!  I feel so bad having to give him the shots.  The next sets he will be getting from the vet.  Thank goodness it is the weekend; it has been a long week.  Dozer did very well today on our walk to the mailbox; he didn’t fight me at all.  Found out the the new neighbors little Chihuahua got attacked by something this morning.  Poor little thing is at the vet getting patched up.  That’s why I am so careful with my dogs, I don’t let them out of my sight.  Channon came over at about 7:10pm and gave Dozer his shot, he did much better with someone who knew what they were doing.  Bryan and I went to the drag strip for a bit to watch some test and tune runs.  Tomorrow night is the Jet Car Nationals.  They are my favorite event all year!  We got home at about 11pm and Dozer would just not settle down.
